Teenager held over stabbing murder

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a stabbing victim who was found dead in Birmingham. [16 May 2012]

West Midlands Police said the suspect was detained at an address in the Highgate area on Tuesday in connection with the death of a 46-year-old man.

The victim, who has not yet been named by police, was found with multiple stab wounds in Thorp Street, at 11.15pm on Saturday.

Officers are continuing to appeal to anyone with information about the murder to contact West Midlands Police Force CID by calling 101 or the Crimestoppers service on 0800 555 111.
