Retailers share criminal files in Northern Ireland

Large retailers in Northern Ireland have been sharing information, such as CCTV footage, on known criminals over the last 6 months. The aim is to crack down on business crime across Ulster.
The Northern Irish police service have now joined up to an Information Sharing Protocol with Retailers Against Crime Northern Ireland (RACNI), so that retailers can receive information about criminals. Staff in each retail store can then view images of criminals, helping thenm to detect criminals and prevent crimes before they happen.
