Signpost thieves face jail

Thieves who steal signposts in Cumbria have been warned that they will face jail.

Walkers and riders have been affected as signposts have been stolen from Cumbrian footpaths and bridleways. Cumbria County Council recently replaced the signs, only to find that they had been ripped out and removed again. Now the council and police have warned that those responsibile they will face fines or imprisonment if they are caught.
