Two injured in Northern Ireland shootings

Two men are in hospital after they were shot in the legs in separate gun incidents in Northern Ireland. [4 November 2009]

A 23-year-old man was shot after five men wearing scarves entered his house on the Creggan estate at about 8pm on Tuesday. An hour later, a 24-year-old man was shot by a masked gang in west Belfast. Neither injuries are thought to be life threatening.

Republican Action Against Drugs

Local residents are blaming the attack on the group known as Republican Action Against Drugs, which has also been blamed on a dozen other attacks this year.
