Pensioner beaten as she helps injured men in Newtownards
A 70-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after she was attacked whilst helping two men who had been assaulted by a gang [14 November 2011]
The pensioner was attacked on Mark Street in Newtownards after 21:00 GMT on Sunday.
The two men whom she was trying to help aged 43 and 19 were beaten up near a house in the area.
Police think that three females and one male were behind the initial attack and two people have been arrested in relation to the incident.
All three of the victims are in hospital receiving non-life threatening treatment.
