Breach of data affects thousands

BBC Scotland's Investigations Unit has uncovered personal data breaches affecting thousands of people.

Following freedom of information requests to NHS boards, councils and police forces, it was revealed that lost patient notes, information about sex offenders and payroll data had all breached personal data regulations.
