Convicted killer appeal ruling

Convicted killer Luke Mitchell, who was found guilty of murdering his 14-year old girlfriend in 2003, has had his appeal to to clear his name rejected.

Mr Mitchell was ordered to serve 20 years in jail for murdering his girlfriend Jodi Jones.

Jodi was stripped, tied up and stabbed to death in woods near her home in Dalkeith. Mr Mitchell has always protested his innocence. His appeal was heard at the Court of Criminal Appeal in Edinburgh in February.
