Fewer mothers should be sent to jail

A report has found that thousands of Scottish children have been bullied because one of their parents was in prison.

Approximately 13,000 children have parents in jail and have suffered disruption to their education as a result. Scotland's children's commissioner, Kathleen Marshall, has said that the needs of children should be considered when their parents are being sentenced.
