Life in prison for prostitute killer

The murderer of a Glasgow prostitute has been detained in a high-security psychiatric hospital after stabbing his victim to death.

Stephen Muirhead, 27, is a paranoid schizophrenic, and stabbed Susan Shivers three times in the chest after she asked him for money. The 27-year old mother-of-one died of a blood clot three weeks after the rknife attack.

Muirhead will be held indefinitely in order to protect the general public.
