Teenager sentenced for knife attack and robbery

An 18-year-old was sentenced to serve nine years after stabbing a cancer patient and robbing a school boy.

The teenager, Robert Campbell, was sentenced on Wednesday at the High Court of Edinburgh. In December 2007, Campbell robbed a 14-year-old walking home near Fort Terrace. An hour later, he stabbed Archie Reid at Woodhead Gardens after the 54-year-old confronted him about the robbery. After his release, Campbell will be under additional supervision for two years.
