Home alone mother arrested

A woman who left her three children at home alone while she went on holiday in Afghanistan has been arrested.
Simten Sadiq, 33, was arrested on suspicion of wilful neglect when she arrived at Heathrow Airport. Her three children aged 11, six and five, were found hiding under a bed in their home in Burley, Leeds, on 30 August. Sadiq, a trainee teacher, is thought to have been on her honeymoon with her new husband. She was brought back to Leeds for questioning and has since been released on bail.
