Banker dies after street attack

Detectives are investigating the murder of a banking executive in Norwich, after he intervened in a street fight.
Frank McGarahan, 45, suffered head injuries after he saw two people being assaulted on Sunday. He died in hospital the following day. McGarahan, from Hertfordshire, had been out with family on the evening when the attack took place. While waiting in a taxi queue, he saw two people being attacked and went to their aid. Officers are looking at CCTV footage from around the city centre and a post-mortem is due to take place.
