Human remains found
[24 September 2008]
Human remains found in an east London allotment are believed to be those of a 33-year old woman who went missing almost six years ago.
The skull and bones were found wrapped in a duvet at the Low Hall Farm allotments in August. Following DNA testing, police believe the remains are those of Julie Dorsett, a sex worker who went missing from Hackney in October 2002. Although a large number of bones were found, including her skull, none were from the lower body. It is also not clear whether Miss Dorsett was murdered. Detectives are trying to piece together information between when Miss Dorsett went missing and when the remains were found and are appealing for information from anyone who knew Miss Dorsett.
