Mother denies leaving children home alone

A woman accused of leaving her three young children home alone while she went on her honeymoon in Afghanistan has denied the charges.

Simten Sadiq's three children aged 11, six and five were found hiding under a bed in their Leeds home. The trainee teacher was arrested on suspicion of wilful neglect when she arrived back at Heathrow Airport this week. Mrs Sadiq, who has been released on bail, said that she had made arrangements with two ladies to look after the children.
