Ambulance driver fears attack

An ambulance driver has been threatened by a patient with a knife while treating him for stab wounds.

The driver from Oxfordshire said he is considering quitting the service following the attack, when the boy pulled out a flick-knife on him. Several of his colleagues have already resigned due to increasing violence, and he has also brought a stab-proof vest. Since Christmas, there have been 10 incidents where this particular driver alone, who does not wish to be named, has feared for his safety.
