Man convicted of converting replica guns

A man has been found guilty of converting replica guns into active weapons, which have been linked to more than 50 shootings.
Grant Wilkinson, 34, was convicted of seven offences of converting and supplying guns linked to at least eight murders. Wilkinson adapted replica Mac-10 guns in a shed near Reading in Berkshire. One of the guns was used during an armed robbery in Bradford, where PC Sharon Beshenivsky was killed in 2005. One of the guns was also used in the murder of Michael Dosunmu, 15, in his home in Peckham in 2007.
