Bangor student died in revenge attack
[17th April 2008]
A student from Bangor died in a fight when returning home from a night out in Liverpool, where he was in his final year at university.
Sion Hardy, 24, was killed in a revenge attack following a row between his friend and another man. The prosecution in the case said that a chance meeting in an underpass between Sion's friend - Stephen Lunne - and Kevin O-Dea, who Steven had trouble with, cost him his life.
Four men had planned a revenge attack in Stephen Lunne, after Mr Lunne was seen apparently chatting-up Kevin O'Dea's girlfriend.
The court heard that Sion Hardy was an innocent victim in the wrong place at the wrong time. The four men who planned the attack are all on trial for manslaughter or murder.
