Man arrested in Wales for German murder

[11th February 2008]

A man has been arrested in South Wales in connection with the murder of a woman in Germany six years ago.

He was also wanted by German police on suspicion of rape and theft. The arrest of 49-year Phillip McNally was a result of a joint operation between UK and German police forces. Extradition proceedings are now underway in London.
