Aged 5-10

Burglary – combine a Christmas message with a warning about the rise of burglary at Christmas.
WIN a Nintendo DS Lite or a trip to Legoland

Aged 11-16

Drink-driving – combine a Christmas message with a warning about the risks of drink-driving at Christmas.
WIN an iPod Touch or a day at the David Beckham Academy

Aged 16-21

Domestic violence - combine a Christmas message with a warning about the rise of domestic violence at Christmas.
WIN £200 of shopping vouchers

How to enter

Either draw your design or use a computer. Make sure it includes a Christmas message and a warning about the danger of the crime in your age category. Send your entries to:

Crimestoppers Trust, Apollo House, 66a London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5BE or email general@crimestoppers-uk.org with the Subject heading ‘Xmas 2010'.

Deadline for entries

All entries must be received by Friday 8 January. There will be one winner in each age group, who will choose one of the two prizes available in their category. Winners will be decided by a panel of Crimestoppers judges.

Terms and conditions

  1. This competition is open to residents of the UK aged from 5 to 21 on 31 December 2009, except for Trustees and employees of Crimestoppers Trust, their families or anyone else associated with this competition.

  2. Entrants must submit a Christmas card design in accordance with the theme assigned to their age group. The entrant's age group is determined by what age the entrant was on 31 December 2009. Entrants aged from 5 years – 10 years old must design a card that combine a Christmas message with a warning about the rise of burglary at Christmas. Entrants aged from 11 years to 16 years must design a card that combines a Christmas message with a warning about the risks of drink-driving at Christmas. Entrants aged from 17 to 21 must design a card that combines a Christmas message with a warning about the rise of domestic violence at Christmas.

  3. Entries must be sent to Crimestoppers Trust, Apollo House, 66a London Road, Morden, Surrey SM4 5BE or general@crimestoppers-uk.org by 08/01/2010. Entrants must submit details of their name, age, address, phone number and email address with their entry.

  4. Original artwork must be no larger than A3. Artwork is unable to be returned to entrants. All work must be the original work of the entrant to the competition and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

  5. Judges at Crimestoppers Trust will then choose one winner from each age group whose entry will be turned into a Crimestoppers Christmas Card for the 2009 range.

  6. Crimestoppers Trust will hold the intellectual property rights to the all entries for 10 years from the date the winner is announced.

  7. The winner will be notified by 15/01/2010. After 22/01/2010 details of the winner will be published on www.crimestoppers-uk.org/xmas or can be obtained by sending an SAE to the ShadowCS Web Assistant at the above address.

  8. There will be one winner of each age category. The winner of the 5 – 10 years category can choose between a Nintendo DS Lite or a trip to Legoland. The winner of the 11 – 16 years category can choose between an iPod Touch or a day at the David Beckham Academy. The winner of the 16 – 21 years category wins £200 worth of shopping vouchers.

  9. All prizes must be taken as stated. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

  10. The winner may be required to take part in publicity activity. Entry to the competition is deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. Crimestoppers Trust reserves the right to withdraw the promotion at any time if events or circumstances occur outside its control which makes this necessary.
