Congratulations to all those who ran the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Crimestoppers on Sunday 11 October. It was great to support everyone along the route, and we are very proud of all our team's results. Thank you for your hard work with training and fundraising - your efforts are already going a long way towards helping solve crimes.

The 2010 Royal Parks Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 10 October. You can register your interest in getting your own place by visiting the Royal Parks Half Marathon website. Charity places for the event are still being confirmed, however to express your interest in running the 2010 race for Crimestoppers please contact the events team.

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2009

New to Crimestoppers for 2009, the Royal Parks Half Marathon takes in the sights of Central London, winding through the city's beautiful Royal Parks.

Starting and ending in Hyde Park, participants race through St James', Kensington and Green Parks, taking in superb views of the London Eye, Houses of Parliament and the Royal Albert Hall.

The Brakes Food and Fitness Festival, running throughout the day in Hyde Park, adds to the festival atmosphere, meaning that whether a runner or a supporter, this event a really pleasant occasion. There are plenty of activities to entertain the family, so bring them along and enjoy a perfect autumn afternoon in the park.

The first Royal Parks Half Marathon took place in October 2008, with over 12,000 runners coming together for a thoroughly enjoyable day. This year's event will be on Sunday 11th October, and Crimestoppers has got a number of guaranteed places available for it. We're looking for keen runners to enjoy the day whilst raising money to help solve crimes, so why not join the team?

Join the Crimestoppers team

There are two ways you can join the Crimestoppers team - using your own place, or one of Crimestoppers' guaranteed places.

  • Apply for one of Crimestoppers' guaranteed places and join the only team helping to solve crimes. We ask all of our guaranteed place runners to pledge to raise £500, with £30 of this paid in when confirming your place. Contact the Events Team on 020 8254 3200 to receive entry details.
  • If you have been able to secure your own place in the event, through the Royal Parks Half Marathon Website, we would be delighted to have you as part of the Crimestoppers team. You will receive the excellent support offered to all our runners, but with the flexibility of setting your own fundraising targets. Contact the Events Team to register as part of the team.

However you join, as a member of the Crimestoppers Royal Parks team you will receive the full support of our events team throughout your half marathon experience. We will provide you with guidance in fundraising, top tips in preparing for the big day, enthusiastic supporters at cheering points along the way and, of course, a Crimestoppers running vest to help you look the part.
