There are hundreds of running events held every year across the UK and abroad, which are open to the general public to enter. If you have your own place in any event or are considering entering one then Crimestoppers would be delighted to support you in this.

What do I get from being an 'Own Place Runner'?

As an own place runner, you'll have the freedom to set your own fundraising targets whilst receiving the same high-quality support package offered to our Golden Bond teams, including:

  • Support from our media team to publicise your efforts.

What events can I run in for Crimestoppers?

You can take part in any event as an own place runner, whether a 5K, marathon or more. If you are able to secure your own entry into the event, Crimestoppers would be delighted to support you in it.

How can I register as an Own Place runner on the Crimestoppers team? An own place runner in the London Marathon

To register as an Own Place runner first contact the race organisers of your chosen event to confirm your entry has been accepted and your place is guaranteed. Then simply contact the Crimestoppers events team by calling 020 8835 3700 or sending an email to events@crimestoppers-uk.org.
