Why we need you
To provide support to the charity, communicating with its network of volunteers across the UK. Based in our central office in Wallington, Surrey, this role will play a key part in helping us enhance effective communication with our more than 500 volunteers.
The role is subject to relevant police and Criminal Records Bureau vetting.
What will I be doing?
Communicating with our volunteers on a number of occasions; including conducting short interviews to generate content for our E-newsletter and website, holding exit interviews with volunteers over the phone and updating volunteer contact details on our database. You would also be developing and delivering (over the phone) a short training package to teach our volunteers how to use our intranet more effectively.
What skills do I need?
Someone who is confident speaking to new contacts on the phone; with a friendly nature and professional approach to work. Quick to adapt to new computer systems with experience of using the internet.
How much time do I need to commit?
At least one four hour period a week, preferably on a consistent day.
What support will I be given?
Reasonable travel expenses and a lunch allowance will be covered. Full training on systems will be given as well as appropriate supervision.
